Although the highest peak in Pirin is 2914 m (Vihren Peak), its geographical nature resembles the high alpine peaks. Pirin mountain has two peaks above 2900 m above sea level and seven with over 2700 m above sea level. The difficulty of the transitions varies from medium to very high.
